Fingerstyle Guitar and Fretboard Logic
I started playing guitar at age 15, and it quickly became a lifelong passion. Years ago I played lead and rhythm guitar in a few bands, Americana, Blues and Rock.
Although I didn’t pursue playing in bands, I always made a point of surrounding myself with musicians who play at a high level. At some point I learned the value of exploring the fretboard and Fretboard Logic.
I also started exploring different types of finger style music. Over the years, I have also played bluegrass banjo, dabbled with pedal steel, dobro, lap steel and bluegrass electric bass.
I have given private lessons and also taught a variety of adult classes at the Folk School of St. Louis, including finger style and Fretboard Logic. I believe strongly in the value of proper technique with strumming, flatpicking and finger style. I strive to keep lessons and classes fun and interesting.
